Why Use A ready to use granule that breaks down acid soils improving availability of nutrients. It is also a great source of calcium and magnesium encouraging strong leaf growth, fruit quality and disease resistance. How to Use One handful of Garden Lime is about 35g (11/4 oz). Trees and Shrubs Apply 10g/sq. m (1/3 oz per sq. yd) around the base of established plants. Gently fork into the soil surface without disturbing the roots. Alternatively, sprinkle the product over the soil surface, around the stem of the plant and water in well. When planting out apply 10g/sq. m (1/3 oz/sq. yd) to the bottom of the planting hole and mix well with the soil or compost when refilling the hole. Beds & Borders Apply 10g/sq. m (1/3 oz per sq. yd) on the soil surface and fork in. Take care that the granules do not touch the plant leaves or stems. Water in well after application. Vegetables Apply 10g/sq. m (1/3 oz/sq. yd) and work well into the soil. Improving Soil Apply 10g/sq. m (1/3 oz/sq. yd) on the soil surface and fork in well. For clay soils, increase to 15g/sq. m (1/2 oz/sq. yd) to improve structure and drainage. Lawns Apply 10g/sq. m (1/3 oz/sq. yd) to the grass surface.
