The soft silicone layer provides gentle adherence that will facilitate atraumatic removal. The hypo-allergenic, dual adhesive border, provides additional dressing security. The silicone contact layer does not damage the surrounding skin, peril-wound area or newly formed tissue and will not adhere to the wet wound bed. Ideal for hard to dress areas, the hypo-allergenic border provides dressing security. The dressing features an enhanced wicking layer and increased absorption capacity. The water-resistant barrier backing on Eclipse dressings are bacteria and viral proof and critically prevent strike-through. Secondary layer sits underneath the backing and on top of the moisture locking layer. The moisture locking central layer of the Eclipse dressing consists of a sheet of highly absorbent crystals and a mechanically bonded cellulose pad.
