About The Product : Actilite is a gently adherent gauze wound dressing coated with activon (Manuka Honey & Manuka Oil). The pad supports the natural wound healing processes and facilitates the passage of exudate through the gauze
The combination of Manuka Oil and Activon Honey present in Actilite makes the product particularly valuable for wound treatment
Can be used on all wounds where a primary pad is indicated. Cuts, abrasions, burns, venous and/or arterial wounds, bedsores or diabetic wounds
The pad is easy to apply and leads to gentle adhesion to the surrounding skin, but not in the wound bed. The hygroscopic effect of Activon+ promotes a moist healing environment. Please use a secondary support of your choice, e.g. an absorbent wound dressing or a semi-permeable film, depending on the condition of the wound. We recommend e.g. Eclypse adhesive. Actilite can also be used in conjunction with the "Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT)"
Actilite is a single use product. If used in more than one patient, cross contamination or infection may occur. Opening the packaging of the wound dressing endangers the sterile barrier. All unused dressings must be disposed of
